grief & loss

Liz Gleeson is a seasoned bereavement therapist and educator, who delivers quality, inspiring and engaging trainings to a variety of healthcare and education professionals.

Healthcare professionals and educators will inevitably come across death and other losses throughout their profession, but there is usually a noticeable gap in content related to death, dying and grief . Liz aims to address this deficit by offering up-to-date evidence-based education on key themes and theories associated with loss and grief, expanding beyond the boundaries of bereavement.

Liz also teaches on self-care and strategies to avoid burn-out & compassion fatigue.

Liz has over twenty years experience as an educator on third level and post-graduate courses. She holds annual workshops for IAHIP, delivered annual workshops for the Irish Hospice Foundation, has taught and tutored on the MA Dramatherapy, taught on the Social Care degree course in IT Tallaght and currently is guest tutor for the MSc Bereavement Studies in the RCSI/IHF.
